As reported on Monday, 29th October, 2018 that actor and singer, Kwadwo Nkansah LilWin had caused the arrest of a reporter for Ohemaa Candace for publishing a false story about him, reports have it that the reporter admitted to not ascertaining the facts before publishing the story with the excuse of confirming and re-posting later.
The ghsplash reporter admitted to accepting to pull down the story though her reason for publishing was “overhearing the news from the horse’s own mouth” but the actor, Kwadwo Nkansah Lilwin surprisingly stopped her and snatched her phone.
Following the recent controversy regarding the alleged fabricated story about veteran actor Kwadwo Nkansah Lilwin, blogger Ohemaa Candace has asked to be compensated for being publicly disgraced in relation to a video of her arrest going viral with the police “forcing” their way to showing her face to the cameras and spending a night at the Tesano police station, as well as her pictures being circulated on social media with the sole intention to tarnish her image.
Reacting to the issue on ‘Showbiz Agenda’ with Sammy Flex on Zylofon 102.1 FM, she assertively stated that, “I have to be compensated with an apology and something valuable because it might get to a point in my life where I would be going in to look for a job and this could affect me in the future.”

For the time being, even though most industry players have the view that the act of the said reporter, Ohemaa Candace in publishing “fake news” is unprofessional, they also stand on the view that the manner in which the actor Kwadwo Nkansah Lilwin went about the issue in trying to solve it was uncalled for and that the right channel should be used in redressing the issue.
